Bayit, the Hebrew word for house, begins with the letter beit. The Divine Hands of Creation (bara)lovingly cradle our fragile earth-home. The willow tree's shape subtly resembles the letter beit. Behind the leaves, we see that the dagesh, or dot inside it is a fetus. The golden light of dawn lights up the sky and reminds us of the beginning of a new day, the symbol of a new start, of new creations. The tree-house evokes the duality of inside/outside as beit has the numerical value of two.
